Installing 7" headrest LCD on 09 GS450h w/ML
I am planning to install 2 x 7" alpine headrest screens on my GS. The only problem is how can I get the signal from the dvd player that sends the video signal to my stock screen? I just need to split that video output from the dvd player or do I need a module of some sort? If I need a module, where can I get it? Thanks.

Subscribed for details. I just picked up a 98 GS400 that already has 2 TV's in the headrests, and a DVD Player, with the factory Nav/Touchscreen indash. There is a toggle switch installed, and when I flip the toggle switch, the factory Nav screen is over-ridden and the DVD player displays. I know that there is an Alpine TV tuner under the passenger seat, and the DVD player is hooked up through that.. so I know they are using that unit as a connection hub. I cant seem to get the audio from the DVD player to play over the factory system, however. Not sure why, guess it would help if I knew how it was run!

bump.
wondering if this is possible. can the video signal from the dvd player to the nav screen on a ml equipped car be tapped? would be great to use the factory dvd player as the video source for some headrest monitors.
has anyone done this?

I'm researching a new build for my 2GS, including multiple screens, and came across this - most likely something I will order. I have not tried it so I can't attest to its quality:
