Question Playstation.

Ok I just got my monitor installed(well atleast half way!) and I dont have a dvd player yet and there aint no way I'm takeing the ps2 out of the house for now(gta3 and I'm stuck!) so I'm planning on hooking my old ps1 up in the car. Anyway my question is do I need one of those power converters to hook up the playstation? I tried to just splice the wires and hook up pos and neg to the battery as a test and it didn't come on, so that got my wondering if I need that power converter..

Post Yup!

I picked up one today at discount auto for like 46.00. I hooked it up and everything works fine! Finally I have something on my screen ... I'm planning on getting the dvd player with the built in tv tuner next month. Its like 250. The antenna is small and kinda cool looking. I just wonder about the reception....
