Default changing Lexus Nav from 5th gen to 6th gen.

Dears ... i was wondering if any one has tried to change from Lexus Navigation Fifth generation to the latest sixth genenration, what does it take, how easy to implement and the total cost. I know it involves changing the nav receiver, but will i be able to connect iPhone/iPod through USB ? in another word upgrading to sixth generation will enable using origianl Lexus USB ? or it's totally seprate hardware and software ?

my car is a 2009 Lexus LX570 Gulf Spec which is equipped with both ML and RSES. Of course the gulf spec nav is DVD based not like the US hard drive.

Can any one share his insights, experince and recommendations .

Thanks in advance !

i know this question gets asked a lot in the 3GS forum because the 06s came with gen4 and all others have gen5. you have to swap out the whole unit and im still not sure about the navi ecu and wiring but i know its not cheap. for example, an 07 GS350 navi unit sells roughly around 2500-3000 bucks.

as far as the other things working, i dont know since only the 010 was the first GS to come with the usb i believe.
