I've searched the forum and found majority of answers to what I'd like to do but still have a couple of questions for more experienced guys out here.
It's 2001 GS300 with basic sound system (non-nakimahi) with a cd changer.

I'm trying to put a new sub in trunk area and new aplifier that will be amplifing sub only, no other speakers. I'm keeping stock head unit and stock amp untuched. I'm not massing with any of that.

1) Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier RMS Power Rating: 4 ohms: 330 watts x 1 chan. 2 ohms: 600 watts x 1 chan.

2) an aftermarket sub (single 12" 4 OHM):Impedance: Single 4 Ohm, Power Handling: Peak: 1000 watts RMS: 300 watts

I will be conecting stock sub wires (that currently go to stock sub) into new amplifier via 'line out converter'. I know that some of new amplifiers have feature that already takes care of converting incoming signal into pre-amp signal so in case of the amp that I'm looking at do I still have to use this'line-out converter'?

Next question is should I just tap into stock sub wires to connect LOC or should I completely disconnect stock sub?

Last question is: The sub that I'm getting is a single 4 OHM sub and I know that stock sub is 2 OHM.
Should I get 2 OHM new sub or this doesn't really matter?
I read on here somewhere that maintaing the same impedance(ohm) is very essential but I'm not sure if this was referring to this set up as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
