Default How to keep Sub Box in place?

I would appreciate it if someone who knows anything about the GS and sub boxes could help me find a way to keep my sub enclosure tucked away in that little hiding space in the trunk ( if GS owner, gotta know of spot.) My box keeps on sliding out on those HARD starts. Thanxs

I have the best way that no one can beat. VELCRO. As long as your box is covered in that carpet stuff. I want to a hardware store and got some industrial velcro, about 1" wide, but anything should do. Cut them into strips to cover the corners or the whole way around, your choice. You will need only the hook side of the velcro, not the fuzzy side. They should be self-adhesive. Stick the velco back to back so that both sides have hooks. Stick it on the box and then place the box where you want it. Shift it around a bit to make sure the velcro bites. That should do it. It holds like you would not believe and you can still remove it without leaving any permanent marks or holes in your trunk. I stuck some to my amp and held it on that ledge with velcro also. They have not moved an inch. The more velcro you use, the better it holds. You can't even see it because it's on the bottom. Hope that helps you out.

you could also buy small L shaped brackets and do one or two per side. a few small screws and you have yourself a very secure and semi-permanent fix. couldn't cost more than a buck or two literally for everything

This is what my audio installer / shop did, and it is rock solid.

The velcro will hold your box in place past 1 g, i guarantee it. I use 2 1" wide by 6" long strips and the thing has not gone anywhere. It's in there. As long as you use enough, there is no way you can drive that will unseat the velcro. It's strong stuff man. Make sure you use the industrial strength one though, not that crap that you can get at walmart.

I use the industrial stuff. Funny thing is that you can pick it up at a fabric shop. Get this...the strip itself is 2 inches wide and the length is as long as a few feet. They're kinda expensive, but holds great! I'm using this to hold in my McIntosh amps, which aren't really light to start off with. They haven't moved even a 1/4 of an inch.
