I still don't see why you just don't do it right the first time and just find the remote.. but each to their own.

I cannot believe that there is no power wire that we can tap on a Lexus with all the electronics.....

Ummm...I gave you a solution that works, would be safe, effective, and could be completely hidden once you get your soldering/heat shrinking done. Aside from going into a wiring harness or directly to the fuse block as was suggested as well, it's about as easy as it gets.
