SC400. Keep Nakamichi or Replace it?

SC400. Keep Nakamichi or Replace it?
I kind of have a dilemna. I'm happy with the Nakamichi system in my car. The sound is really good. It's not exceptional like I've had in my last car with an aftermarket system though.
I'm wondering if it's worth it going through all the trouble to change the Nakamichi system. Considering it's still good.
Has anyone changed their nakamichi system in their SC and regretted it?
I'll be changing the headunit with a pioneer with a NAV.
A 6.5" component system with tweeters.
A free air sub.
Both the component system and sub will be powered with aftermaket amps.
$600 upgrade... or none.... that's a lot of dough for me!

I removed a functionally perfect Nakamichi system from my SC and haven't regretted it for a second. The Nak systems sounds decent but didn't quite have the power/audio quality I was looking for, and on top of that the stock head unit is extremely dated.
On a side note I have done the free air thing and have never had satisfactory results. I finally ended up with doing a sub in the trunk and have also not regretted that one bit.

I think I'll save up a bit more money and get a really over the top sound system. If I'm going to do it I want to do it right. It's just a shame to rip apart a decent Nakamichi sound system that has nothing wrong with it.
My last setup was
6.5" 6020cs Infinity Component System with 1" tweeters running at 90RMS
12" Alpine Type R running at 500 RMS
It sounded absolutely awesome... either I'll go with a setup similar to this or I'll get even better equipment

That's actually a pretty similar setup to what's currently in my SC. I have Infinity Kappas components in front and 3-way Kappas in the rear driven by an Alpine MRP-F300 amp. I also have a 12" Type R Sub and a Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT source unit. I am very pleased with the way it sounds, even if it isn't the most high-end setup.

I'm probaly going to get the Avic f900 series or F700.
Pretty crazy decks! Are you happy with it?
