i'm so upset...

first, a little history... some 80 year old lady rear ends going about 50. then, when i get it fixed, the guys who fixed forgot about one tiny little leak in my trunk. the leak went unnoticed for a couple months. now it's fixed, but my stock amp is screwed up... are are my rear door speakers and my sub...
i have a 96 gs300 by the way...

questions:
what size speakers do i have in the rear door panel??

and

how do i get the rear door panel off?

i asked my local lexus dealer and they couldn't help.
i would appreciate any help in this matter...

PLEASE!! i need my sounds...

i got you man.....5.25 in the rear doors and they are not hard at all to take out....all you need is a phillips head screw driver and 5 screws later you are done....let me know we can meet up and i'll show you

How could the dealer not help? That doesn't sound like Lexus customer service to me. Are there any other dealers near you that you can try?

hey this could be a good chance for you to dump the stock speakers and go out and buy some real speakers instead, I would say just go out and get a free air sub, acouple of nice components and a nice 5 channel amp

***Try calling Arlington Lexus in Palatine. 847-991-0444. They have BY FAR the best customer service I have ever encountered. Don't try Woodfield Lexus..."below average" customer service at best.***

thanx for the input guys...

2lexos: five screws??? man, all i saw were the two on the bottom panel and one by the child safety lock... no wonder i having such a hard time gettin it off...

ice: yeah man... i think it was because i was talkin to a mechanic and that's why he didn't know anything 'bout the speaker sizes... but the service guys weren't any help neither... go figure

i'm definately lookin into upgrading the stock speakers... but what about the head unit?

yeah man you are almost there.....you have to take the light out at the bottom of the door and there is one screw there and then take out the panel with your window switch and the last screw is there......the rest is just door clips. good luck!
