Ok here goes I have a 08 ISF with factory sirius sat radio installed by the dealer. Since my wife mainly drives this car I was going to install the I-pod kit to make it safer for her to drive for her birthday.
Long story short the dealer said I cant install the kit unless I uninstall the Sirius because they connect to the same audio spot. To me this sounded stupid because it is clearly a different channel on the head unit. Is this correct? Need advice here.
Thanks in advance

As far as i know, yes the factory satellite does have to be disconnected because it does use that port for the ipod. Although i dont know if you've looked into the pac isimple gateway, as that allows you to use your ipod AND add satellite radio (so you would be disconnecting your factory sat. tuner and would then use an aftermarket sat. tuner) some people may not like that option as you do already have satellite so your kinda paying for something you already have but it is an option. If you are interested here are the parts you would need from pac audio: pxamg, pghty-1, issr11, and from audiovox an scc-1 sat. tuner
