Default Headunit won't turn on?

so i installed an aftermarket headunit wired everything correctly with a scosche ta02b wiring harness and it wont turn on.

my battery died but i got it jumped and it was running but the headunit wouldnt turn on. could it be because of my ****ty walmart battery or possibly using a 30amp fuse in the 20amp radio slot?

please help

It's probably just a blown fuse, but what type of car is it?

The harness is the adapter.

Did you ensure the unit worked prior to installing it? You should always bench test a deck before going to all the work of putting it in just to be disappointed. I would suggest running a jumper right from the battery to see if it works first, then proceed to troubleshooting.

You do have a multimeter, right?

^^ exactly are you sure that the radio was working prior to you installing it in your car and you should never but a larger fuse than recommended
