Faceplate Viewing problem
Hello everyone. I installed a kenwood deck into my car a year ago. now eveyrthing still works fine, but my faceplate does not show anything anymore. The songs still play and everythign, its just i cant see anythign on the faceplate. Does anyone know what is wrong? The face plate went on again for a split second once then turned off again.
Since i got my system instaleld at a shop, can i buy the same faceplate and use that backpiece again( iono what its called). Or should i just buy a mp3 player that has video, and if so do i have to rewire anythign again to my subs and amp or do i just plug and play the new one.

I think you have some options.
You could try and see if you can pick up a new face for your kenwood unit.
(assuming this is a removable face unit) I would see if someone has a face you can try (car stereo shop) and confirm that is the problem, before you buy one. Check the gold conectors on the back of the face and the unit and confirm they are clean and not bent or broken.

look up your model and price for a new face.
It most likely would be easier and cheaper to swap in a whole new unit.
Depending on the replacement/repair price for a new face.
This would most likely not require major re-wiring. Only utilizing the exisitng wiring already in place.
Good luck.
