Default Would I be able to use a Marine free-air sub in my stock location?

Since the JL Audio IB4 is discontinued, I saw a IB5 made for boats. It's an infinite baffle woofer as well, but made for boats. I'm wondering if it'll be possible to fit in the stock locaiton of a SC400 / SC300 / Soarer and obtain good sound quality?

It wont be a plug and play, but yes you can. I have this same sub in the stock location in my GS. Most likely, a mounting harness will have to be built in order to properly support the sub and provide enough clearance. You will have to power it with an aftermarket external amp. I get very good sound quality with this set up. However, I'm upgrading to dual 12's as I like my music much louder.

While for a GS, I imagine the install process is identical.
