Default New Battery soon, any suggestions!

Usually when I get a vehicle one of the first things I do is change the battery. I'm partial to Optima battery only because I had one for 5 years in my 97' Accord and was still going strong when the engine blew. But I'm open to new suggestions. I've got a 2000 LS400.

I know a lot of people are bad mouthing the Optima and have moved on to bigger/better.

I"m still a fan. It has served me for 7+ years with no issues at all on my 2000 GS400
I'm running two amps and Cap., and occasionally do sit and listen to the radio for 30+ min at high volume or watching movies. while waiting for my passenger/s.

My car takes very short trips 5-10Miles a day, really no time to recharge the battery.

I have left the car in the garage recently for 21+ days while on vacation.

Car starts up with no issues what so ever.

I love my Optima. The fact that I bought it from Costco, only makes me that much more confident that If I need to I can go swap it with no questions asked.

I dropped a Kirkland in my wife's 97 Accord and Costco swaped it out no questions asked. She likes to leave the lights on.... A LOT!....

They have changed them up (I was there two weeks ago with my dad), and are now a 30 month non-pro rate, with 84 months of total warranty pro rated after that. Still a good deal.

Hey Alex, which Costco did you find your optima battery at? I tried calling around for one, but they all said they don't have any optima batteries.

The Costco near me does have a few (I'm near Phoenix), but I know they can order them for you.

Consistency is not good sometime.

The Foster City one currently has only the Red Top, which maybe fine for your use. They did have a few Yellow Tops a few months ago.

Also try calling the Redwood City, Mountain View or SF Airport.

Yeah i tried calling the SF, and the two in South SF and they told me they don't carry them. They even said that none of the Costco's within 50 miles carry them. I'm gonna call the ones in Redwood City, and Foster City tomorrow.

Thanks Guys!
