Is there a way to "test" for a bad battery terminal? I've had electrical problems on/off for a couple of years now. I have replaced 3 brand new battery and 4 alternators within the last 2 years. The problem seems to stem from bad battery terminals. I seem to be replacing the terminals every 6 months. I try cleaning the terminals with a wire brush and I measure 14v easily at the battery. After 2 days, I see 11.8v or lower at the battery which prompts me to reclean the terminals again.
Does anyony have any suggestions on "Better" battery terminals than Stock, Stinger or Precision Power.
I have been looking too but in your case i think you have some type of electrical short or something that stays on do you have a stereo amp? maybe hook up a switch for the remote on so it makes sure that its off... also 11.8 from 12v isnt too much of a drop though
I bit the bullet and bought the JL audio battery terminals havent recieved yet, I wish my battery had a side mount too because im still trying to figure out where im going to put wires
2 4 ga amp wires,
one running from alternator
and one for the stock wiring...
