Default DVD burning

Does anyone know how to burn DVDs that will play on the 2010 ML Nav DVD backseat player? Can it be done? I've tried using iDVD to burn DVD-R discs with 360p resolution; I can hear the audio but don't get any video.

The owners manual (RX450h) says that DVD-R discs could work (or, at least DVD-R is not listed in the formats that might not work).

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

i've always had luck with DVD+Rs. there are too many variables involved here....like what brand DVDs you're burning, what program are you using to read and burn, what type of burner you're using, some burners do well with one brand of DVD and STINK with others....etc., etc.......

i haven't burned any DVDs in a while because it just turns into a headache trying to figure out what combination works.

some people have terrible luck with memorex DVDs, i have had some work flawlessly and others not work. also it could be the program you're using<----i have never tried it but i have had luck with NERO, CDRWin and a few others. unfortunately you may have to make a few coasters until you figure it all out
