ML + MS-8... anyone?
#2
I really, really wanted to.. but when it was time for my build the MS-8 was brand new and sold out everywhere. Ultimately, I ended up with the bitone. Very happy with how it sounds and how it was tuned, but it leaves me wondering if the autotune and time alignment from the MS-8 could be any better.
Perhaps a a Christmas gift to myself? haha

Yeah, they were back ordered on Amazon due to their insane pricing during the summer. I waited about 2 month for delivery and was not in a rush due to the price. Now that I have it I'm gearing up for the install and wanted to see if anyone else went through the process and had any tips. I guess I'll move forward with the install and see what happens.
I say Christmas yourself early!

Install is so simple....plug and play with the ML system. There's a lot of flexibility and the unit includes a remote with built in controls and 31 band EQ.
We mounted the unit in the trunk:
And I built a custom CF pod for the remote in my existing ash tray:
System sounds 100% better than using line converters and rats nest connections.

Well looking at the specs the JBL unit does seem like its the best option. When you say "plug & play" does that mean there is an adapter harness available for it or do you still have to splice into the factory wiring?
PS That install is clean!

Speaker level outs from the factory amp directly into the unit.

Great install MrMark!
The interior looks clean! Any more pictures? I'm assuming you changed all the speakers, of so what did you go with? What model is this in? I can't make out the amp brand, what are they?

i jumped on that amazon deal, and it took 3 months to get, but it was well worth the wait for the savings. install will be next weekend. i'm hoping since i will have much more flexibility with crossover points, that my setup will sound as good as it did in my previous vehicle. right now it sounds like trash imo.

You'll be happy.....glad you finally are getting your unit. My friend at Harman said Amazon lost a boatload on the units they sold, and got in trouble for selling so cheap.
My setup is sponsored by Infiniti, so I have all Kappa equipment.
