Grom audio contacted me and offered me to try a new firmware which i did but no avail. But yesterday i decided to try the unit again but this time i disconnected the head unit before i plug the grom unit, and it works!!!!
So for those who have problems with radio not detecting "cd" just unplug the radio before you connect the grom audio and that should work.

I'm going to call alberto from grom audio which was very very helpful during this streesful situation.
