Question CD capability

I recently bought a 1999 ES 300 that has the stock sound system including a cassette player. I want to add a CD player but I don't want to pay the huge money the dealer wants to add it. What are my options? Has anyone been successful locating a Lexus in a junkyard and remove the changer? What cars are compatible? What list of parts must I find to make it complete? Anyone have an FM modulated CD player? Good/no good? Thanks for your help.

Don't go with FM modulation. You will notice the difference. Hey, talk with this guy, his OEM changer is probably not going to work with his new system and maybe he'll sell.

Otherwise, check the CL classifieds. Good luck!

(Congrats on your new car)
