oh and by the way, i don't know why anyone complains about the adapter kits on ebay. mine worked just fine, i just had to take out the circle that holds the speakers and drill my own holes, no biggie.

Laying in bed I just had a thought haha. I could wire it to either the cigarette lighter or the ignition wife on the deck? My power is yellow so the red one? Thoughts?

That works because all it does is dim the radio when it gets a +12V signal.

Which wire are you talking about? The illumination? No need. If you want it dimmed all the time, you could wire it to the switched power, but it's your call.

Just one.

Hmmm...

As for the amp not turning on, are you sure you're using the remote turn on and not the remote for a power antenna trigger? That will only come on with the AM/FM, not CD. Check your wiring again, but if it's correct according to the manual, you can use the cigarette lighter. I would trigger a relay to minimize the current draw. You can jump the +12V supply for the relay from your supply for the amp. The fuses for the cigarette lighter and for the amp will negate any need for additional fusing, too, so that saves you some hassle.

Glad to help, but what was the issue? I'm curious if I was right.

For the enclosure, measure the opening, or buy a really BFH and make it fit.
