I'm not sure this would look good on Gen 4. I think Gen4 screen is 256x320, vs. 480x800 for the Gen 5. That's a big difference in pixel density.

The VaisTech website says ML+ is Gen 6 compatible:

yup, if you put in say an ipod without ios4, it will go back to the old style vml / sl2i-up display. and you can get to the blank screen of course to play video. can think of it as sl2vi
