That rules! Is Vlad going to make a kit for the 98-00 Nav screen? I'm interested!

This kit will work on any lexus because there's only 4 wires you will need to bypass. And every Lex. with nav. will have these 4 wires. To me it's worth the try because I'll have the factory head unit with Nav. and DVD or I can run 2 more outputs to the headrest.
If I go with Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer or Sony. I'm looking at over $2,000.00+ a good car alarm system in case somebody break into my car and take the head unit. But with OEM unit, nobody want it.

That is sweet. Let me know when Vlad comes out with it to pass around. So did you end up spending any money on installation, and if not, do you think you might know how much it would cost?

I did the installation myself that why the finisning look like crap. As far as the Video-Nav I will cost, I really don't know, but right now I'm spending around...let's see
Pioneer GEX-$ 350.00 ( with wrong extra RGB cable ) the unit comes with one cable, but I went ahead and ordered another wrong cable..oops.
The DVD player $210.00 ( cheapest one I can find on the net ).
Bud Light 12 packs $9.00
All of the fun...priceless
The total right now is $ 569.00

Do u think this would be an easy installation for a good shop to do? is it hard to work on a Lexus as far as taking out all the stuff to work with the wires? cuz I wanna do this mod so bad but I dont want the car to have electrical problems after or somthing.

It looks like all the mods are in the trunk where the nav unit is anyway... looks like cake.

as far as the warranty is concerned, as long as they don't know they it doesn't affect it, and if somthing does go wrong then u should plan on taking it out before u let them work on it, like he said if u plan on selling the car or somthing it is removable and u can turn it back to stock form no problem.

I think it will work on any car with Nav. But you will need to find 5 wires they are for video signal. The color code are RGB, SYNC and Ground (Red, Green,Black and SYNC is White). Vlad is still waiting for the sample of the connectors from oversea and working with the plastic company so he can get more connectors and the boxes. I think we'll need to give a few weeks or so.
Thanks for all the compliments.
