This is pobably the wrong forum for this but here goes:I apologize for cross posting but I noticed at "alt.lexus" a similar querie to this just received a poor attempt at humour.
I have a 98 GS400,(Canadian model with metric temp displays), and was wondering whatis involved in having the displays, ie. ambient and AC,changed from Celsius to Fahrenheit? The reason for this request is that the car now spends most of it's time in the US and my old brain still hasn't converted.

That is part of your c-settings. You can go to a lexus dealer and have them change you display settings for you.

 

Thanks for the speedy reply. I just called my dealer and they say they can definitely change the 01 & 02 display and if I come up they will put my 98 on the computer and check to see if it can be done. Strange how when I previously asked them this without your reference to " c settings " they said it couldn't be done.

Just back from Lexus dealer, could not modify display previous to 2001. I'm still skeptical.

 

Some time ago I inquired about changing the temperature displays to Fahrenheit from Celsius on my GS400 (98 Canadian model) and was told display could be changed by dealer through "C Settings" It turned out that this could only be done on 2001 and up models. Anyway I have ordered an '03 LS430 and was wondering if those same settings could convert all the instruments to US (Imperial) ie. speedo and odometer.
