ES300 Nav
I have a 2002 ES300 with Nav and ML . My son-in law has a 2002 GS430 with Nav and ML.
The problem we have is when I am about 2 blocks from the house it says something like not enough information must use line of sight to destination.
All the streets between there and my house are on the map and when I turn on them it shows location and street name.
When coming home from the other direction if I were to turn left I would be about 5 blocks from home but it tells me to turn right and 4 miles out of the way . Then I wind up at the place 2 blocks from home it is lost again.
This has also happened in other towns it does not take the shortest route even though it is set to.
Both my ES and the GS do the same thing.
Is it the firmware , DVD , or me.
Thanks in advance
Ken

I love my ES300 and the ML system. The jury is still out on the Nav. It may be the settings or something I need to do. The maps are very good , controls great, update time great, but when using destination it has problems finding the closest route.
It does not use some streets that are on the map and carrys you miles out of the way.
However it may be me but no one wants to talk about it either way.
