Just bought a 94 LS400 after many years of dreaming...

My question is about the stock sub in the rear deck, is there a way to adj the gain on this? It seems like it set VERY conservative.
I am not looking to rattle the ground or anything thing. Is there an adj on the sub amp? Where is the amp located?

Also is the 400 suppose to have cornering lights that work with the blinkers?

IS UNDER YOUR CD CHANGER, CAN YOU REACH IT ? I DOUBT IT.
TRY CHUCKIN YOUR 8 INCH FREE AIR WOOFER AND PUTING A PORTED BOX WITH 2 10'S OR 12'S. AND HAVE THE BOX PORT INTO THE OLD SPACE FOR YOUR 8 INCH.

YOU WILL HAPPY i AM.

 

OK, I found the amp and it can not be adj for out put.

Still looking for a little bit more low end, will I get it if I switch to a after market sub and keep the stock amp? Are do I need to upgrade the amp to notice a improvement?

 

YOU CAN UPGRADE TO AN FREE AIR WOOFER. MIND YOU IT HAS TO BE A FREE AIR WOOFER TO USE STOCK LOCATION. WILL THE AMP WORK. HAVE A STEREO SHOP SWITCH IT OUT OLD WOOFER FOR A NEW ON AND SEE HOW IT SOUNDS. OR DO IT YOUR SELF. TRY TO EXPERIMENT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. GOOD BASS CAN BE EXPENSIVE SO MAKE SURE YOU GE WHAT YOU WANT. ALSO THE STOCK AMP IS SERVING ALL THE OTHER SPEAKERS.
