sc400 weak speakers on tape?

sc400 weak speakers on tape?
I noticed that when I'm using my cassette to ipod adapter [or any other tape in the cassette player] that my left speakers play very weak compared to the right side. It's very noticeable and it basically sounds like all the sound comes from the right side of the car.
I tried the same thing with AM\FM and CD and they worked normally. Any suggestions on this fix?

You still listen to tapes?
It sounds like the deck's heads may need to be cleaned or are damaged and would need to be replaced. I would lean toward the first option since it still plays. Get yourself a good tape cleaner if you can find one and run that through it. Not sure if Tokyo Shack still carries things like this, but I'd start there or hit up Amazon.
