First Gen GS300 stereo installation kit, wiring harness?
hey everyone, got a lil problem, when i bought my car it did not come with the stock nakamichi stero, the idiot who had it before more took it out and put some crappy cassete player? but the piece to cover the huge whole looks really nasty. where can i get such a kit? do they even make them? please let me know, thanks oh yeah also same goes for the wiring harness. seems like circuit cityu or anyone like dont carry anything like that. please help

Nobody makes either one. You're going to have to find a good shop that can fabricate a trimplate and solder in a custon harness. I feel your pain!!

PS...just a suggestion, in order to make it less likely for someone to screw up the face plate, put two single-din units in or a double-din unit.

you gotta get a custom car kit made for you. as for the wire harness i was told the toyota one is suppse to work but i tried it and it didn't fit. so your gonna have to carefully splice your wires.

What?
Why would some idiot take the orig. unit out and not go CD? That does not make sense. Another option is you can always buy a factory unit from someone on this board. You might still be stuck with just tape but at least it would look nice again.
I would just give you mine but I have not yet decided what to replace it with, nor do I have the cash to do so right now.
