does anyone know if this works on a 2001 Gs300 with the Pioneer system? With ASL on, I press CD (DISC) three times while holding numbers 1 & 6, followed by holding the AM button for a few seconds, and i get a "P190" on the screen, not "AUDIO". anyone else get this, did i do something wrong?

I know it's been a while but I tried this yday and got the same output P190, P360 and P440. I guess this is to diagnose faulty hardware. However, I did find this http://www.larsdennert.com/lexusis/radiodiag.pdf , hope this helps. I wish it did work and had the option to change radio settings.

Try it with the ASL off.

this just workd on my 99 GS3... hold down 1&6 and press CD 3times... you'll see P190... wait for beeps, then press and hold AM for a few secs... AUDIO, then proceed w/ L, R, W, P1, P2, & L respectively... I, like the original poster preferred everything set to "0" or "flat"

good luck

Question Doesn't work on Australian 1995 LS400?

Hi, I know this is an old thread but I tried it on my 1995 Australian delivered RHD LS400 and couldn't get it to work.
I have the "Lexus Premium Sound System" which I believe is the Pioneer system.
LexGS3 confirmed it worked for non nav systems and GRAND_LS_4 confirmed it worked for LS400.
I followed LexGS3's instructions for non nav but fell at the first hurdle.
I didn't see 1-190 displayed as described by GRAND_LS_4 nor did I see AUDIO displayed.
What am I doing wrong?
Does the stereo need to be in a certain state before starting? I tried it with the stereo off, playing CD or playing radio and in each case the CD, AM, 1 and 6 buttons did what they would normally do.
I don't think this would make any difference but I have an FM Modulator installed. It was turned off throughout my testing.
I don't want to blow my doors off but I'm keen to experiment with the settings.
Any suggestions from the audio gurus??
btw I have some of the cool "unused" features described by girvan in his original post.
rear seat audio controls - volume and channel only
adjustable antenna height.- the antenna goes up or down a little bit when you switch between AM and FM

.

Did some searching and couldn't find any updated info to put here.

Has anyone found a way to get into the audio mode on an 01+ GS300 NON NAV Pioneer Premium system?

Holding down 1+6 and pressing DISC 3 times will get you into the diag mode where it shows the 3 P-codes. Holding AM does not change into audio mode. I played around with a few other buttons and combinations and could not figure it out. Would this be something that Lexus would've taken out or changed for some reason?

how do you get out of the settings menu?

only way i could get out of it was to cycle the power.
