Default radio level?

I had just had my radio replaced from lexus in my 99 gs3, its the premium radio. It was replaced because radio stations did not come in, I could only listen to the cd changer. Its all fixed now but i noticed that the cd player is so much louder than the radio stations?? Is there a way to change this? If im listening to the radio and not paying attention and switch to cd, it almost scares me heh.

Thanks,
John

Sounds to me like something is still wrong, it shouldn't be that way if you have all stock stuff. You may still have an antenna gain problem, you might want to have them check out the antenna and cabling/connectors. But beware, you may be getting into ugly territory as far as a dealer's technical capabilities....

Yes i have all stock equipement. What do you suggest i do? i mean there is a definite difference in volume level between cd and radio, but i mean i could live with it but Im just not sure if all gs's are this way? My friend said that his brand new truck does the same thing sorta, he said it has something to do with the signal strength i dont know. I cant compare to the way it was before the radio was replaced because radio stations didnt come in at all heh.

Go to your local Lexus dealer and compare a brand new car with the same radio in it. Most dealers will allow you to do this without a problem if you tell them your concerns. Where are you located in New Jersey?

John,

Believe it or not this is absolutely normal. It does the same thing with my GS4 '98 (Pioneer/Premium system). No workaround that I know of.
