Default How do I wire a coaxial speaker to OEM tweeter

I have replaced the entire sound system in my GS. However when I replaced the original Pioneer front speaker it took away the tweeter. I called Crutchfield they recommended that I did not connect the tweeter. Now the sound comes from the knee. I want to get the Tweeters to come back up. Anyone have a suggestion? Can I run the tweeters parallel w/o hurting my Sony headunit?

I would not do it. Running it in parallel will show a 2 ohm load (assuming the woofer and the tweeter are both 4 ohms). Headunits don't like 2 ohm loads and tend to either pop or blow the outputs when presented with a 2 ohm load.

What kind of speaker did you replace the factory one with? Coaxial? triaxial? Or just a dedicated Midrange?
