Default Help with Cva-1005

Hello Everyone,
This is my first post cause I can't find answers in the search. I didn't start posting yet cause my car is still stock.
I just got me a used 99 Gs400. I'm planning on installing a system in the car soon. Before I start, I'm wondering were is everyone installing the brain for their Cva-1005 since the wire seems kinda short to be running to the trunk.

i have the alpine iva installed in my SC. the monitor wire was short, so i first thought about installing under the seat, but chose not to. I then bought the extension wire from Alpine at a whopping 120!!! Now the brain is in the trunk.

Thanks Do-luck for the reply.
I thought about putting it under the seat too, but with the ac vent under there, and the brain so big with all my wires, it wouldn't look that good.
Can you tell me when model number of the extension cable you order?

I have the brain installed between the back seat and the trunk lining. I ran the cable thru the center of the car underneath the arm rest...Somebody else here mounted it in the stock amplifier location...

I was going to get the extened cable but at near 100 dollars I think it's just ridiculous..damn alpine..

the model number is KWE-600B

yeah, that price is ridiculous. i was going to run it through the carpets, but in the SC, there is only holes on the side, so either way i was screwed... try to find the cable kit for about 60 bucks.

thanks Guys for the info,
I don't really want to run the cable through the center of the car. the cable seem kinda short, and I'm afraid of the brain getting too hot. Do I have to contact alpine to order that cable? anyone know a online store that sells it? what kind of cable kit are you talking about for 60 dollars?

Johnny

btw, I don't know your names yet.

Lightbulb Option

Johnny - I put mine on the passenger's side of the transmission tunnel ( tucked it toward the firewall as far as possible ). Haven't had any problems with that location in 2+ years!
