Help! SRS Light After A System Install!
I just got my system installed at a local shop and noticed that the SRS light was on in my '11 IS. I was trouble shooting for a couple hours after searching the forums. I came to the conclusion that a clip wasn't plugged back in behind the rear seats. So I pulled everything apart and sure enough, a clip was in, but it wasn't clicked. Not sure if this is what caused my SRS light to come on but now it still won't go away, even after I made sure all the clips were clicked. The light being on doesn't bug me, what does bug me is that I read on here that NONE of the airbags will work if I get hit and that scares me. Anyone have any suggestions? My closest dealer is 4 hours away, and I really don't wanna take it to them anyway. The car is a 2011 AWD IS350 and the system is a JL w6v2 with a slash 500/1 if that matters. Thanks in advance.

You may want to unplug the battery for a few minutes and let the entire system reset. The computer will go through all the factory circuits and get returned signals, and may reset the light. It does this for many of the factory systems, so this might be another area it will correct, too. Definitely don't blame you for not wanting to drive 4 hours to a dealer. Might be worth a call to the dealer you bought it from to confirm, though. Those are way cheaper and take less time - and if it resets and gives you peace of mind, that's even mo betta.
