hello im new to the forums, just recently purchased an 2008 RX 400h.

me and my wife wanted DVD headsets for the kids so we went on ebay and purchased 2 dvd headset. It came 2 headphones and 1 remote.

Ive been looking on line on how to install the DVD head set but looks like Im missing some parts? anyone experience the same. I have some questions below if someone could answer, i would greatly appreciate it.

1. Can I get the DVD headset to install and work with just what i have?
2. if i have to get parts, where can i get it? and what parts do i need?

3. I think i can do it my self but i dont know if paying a professional is better? Thanks!

I don't see the power supply harness or the vidoe output harness for the RCAs that plug to each other headrest when you play one and displays on the other. If you would have to get parts I would contact whoever you bought them from. Otherwise they are just paper weights.

Its hard to see from the pics. Why don't you list what you have and we'll go from there.

All that i have in hand is:

2 DVD Monitor Headset
2 Head phones
1 remote

From the sound of your response, i cannot install the DVD without the other parts.

 

Are they just monitors or are they DVD players?

What cables run down the head rest "poles"?

 

You need to get closer shots of the connectors at the end of the wires so we can see what they are and where they go.
