My fob battery just dead last weekend, and I was trying to open my 07 IS250's door using metal key, the one in the fob, but i found it cannot open the door... no matter I turn it to left or right, I also tried passenger door, doesn't work... but I can use it open the trunk.

Today I got my second remote from my girlfriend, the metal key on that one also doesn't work on the door but work on trunk, anyone has the same experience? or any tricks to open the door with metal key?

did you try flipping the key. When I bought my car i had the same issue. i think i had the key faced as a backward L and then turned it to look like an L and it worked. lol. simple fix. let me know.
