What about the remote wire? Will I want to connect that one to the factory head unit? I tried connecting it to a fuse(maybe this was stupid of me, I don't know?) before and my amp would not ever turn off.

Oops, sorry Tim, forgot about that one, I can't remember whether I've seen the schematics with Nav or not, methinks that it is wired the same way - the headunit is different (to include the Nav), but I believe the amp is the same, so the CD vs headunit connections are rigged the same way. Maybe someone else can verify this - I don't have my schematics handy.

Percy can probably verify or correct this if no one else chimes in.

As far as the remote wire, you can do it a few ways: 1) connect to a switched 12V accessory source - this turns the amp on whenever the ignition is on, and is also on when the radio is not; 2) if you only have one amp, connect the head unit remote out to the amp's remote input; 3) if you have multiple amps or devices that need remote turn-ons, insert an automotive-quality relay between the headunit and the new stuff, so that the headunit only turns on the relay, and the relay turns on the rest of the stuff - this prevents frying the headunit remote output due to excessive current drain. Search the posts for how to wire this if necessary.
