Default Complete Audio Noob... Need some suggestions

I'm a complete noob when it comes to audio stuff.. All I have in mind is what I want my end product, my speakers/radio, to sound like.

I don't really want loud obnoxious bass or anything like that, though it is fun for some songs/occasions. All I want is some depth and tone with the music I play.To update the audio so its sounds like a NEW Lexus..

My current radio/speaker setup is VERY quiet and lacks any bass to it. I have to turn the radio (stock) all the way to the max to get the radio to play loud enough to hear.. and even then it isn't too loud. I'm picking up a double din radio here very shortly so I'm hoping that will help some. I was also told, that for my goal, I could just get a nice amp instead of getting an amp and subs.

Any suggestions on a setup for myself? Will a nice amp be enough for what I want? Like I said, everything I have now is very quiet and lacks any and all depth.. Its all flat and ****ty like..

Car is a 1995 Lexus SC300 and I was told it has the Nakamichi premium sound system. Though, right now its sounds like a Fisher Price radio.. The car is also already set up for an amp and subs if I wanted. All the wiring is ran, I just don't want to spend money on a sub set up if I dont have to. Name of the game is quality!

Thanks,

Shane

get a summing device and a 4ch amp or just keep the oem amp and your new aftermarket amp will improve your sound quality. you will also be able to tune your aftermarket radio to help match your taste in music, especially with a double din.

just stick with quality brands for things. GL
