Default Light that pulses to music in car?

Hi I was wondering if i bought a cord that is filled with light bulbs inside a colored tubing. The product I bought is called Light it Up ropecord. I was wondering if it would work in a car if the instructions say intended for indoor use because of the electrical plug for the jacket. Is there anyway I can wire this so i can run it from a electrical source. This cord basically bounces to the music with a sensory controll. If anyone has any sort of similar product to this installed in there car, opinions would be helpful. I was just wondering how I could work this.

Is this for the home stereo and you want to use it in your car? If so you could probably use a power inverter that plugs into your cig. lighter and has a AC outlet for your Light It Up Ropecord. These inverters are sold everywhere (auto part stores or target) from $29 - $79.

They do make specific automotive products to do this... but I'm not sure how many people want a Disco lounge in the car.
