The relay type to use is a single pole single throw (SPST). If your going to be pulling a bunch of amps, then I'd go with a automotive type relay, like Radio Shack 30A Automotive Relay.
$5.99 Reg. Price Brand: RadioShack
Model: 275-226
Your schematic isn't exactly right. The two wires coming from the sides (+ from stock fog and - from the stock fog) should be going to the relay coil (Terminal # 85 and Terminal #86 on the Radio Shack 275-266 relay). For best design consider putting a 1N4001 or 1N4002 diode across the relay coil connections too. The silver band side of the diode will go to the + side of the coil Terminal # 85 and other side to Terminal #86. The new fog light + will be wired to Terminal #87 and Terminal #30 can be wired to a fuse and then to the battery or directly to the battery.
Hope this helps,
