Nakamichi makes awesome speakers and headunits, not too sure about cd changers but I'm sure it would be pretty friggin good, considering their other stuff is all top-notch. They are pricey, but worth it- their sound quality is excellent. Sorry I could not help on the installation.

nakamichi is the first people to make in dash 6 disc changers...
nakamichi makes top of the line products, but now, you can get Diamond audio products instead, which i believe is made by the same people...

one thing though, nakamichi stuff works best with nakamichi stuff. so for good sound, get nak speakers, nak headunit/in dash changer, nak subs, nak amps....

i have never done that. I would think yes, if you do not know the wiring. It would be hard for me, but I would be able to do it with some instruction. but personally, i would just pay someone to do it, then make me a dash kit...

Check here LEXBERG - But hopefully there is a less-expensive way of getting the product you're looking for.

For the car, Nakamichi headunits are excellent, and very well layed-out. I would not go with their car amps or speakers, however - there is much better stuff for the money out there. It is not true that "Nakamichi stuff works best with Nakamichi stuff". Most equipment is reasonably generic, at least for the high-end stuff, and I'll take Dynaudio, Focal, a/d/s, and many other speakers over Nakamichi any day of the week. A Nakamichi headunit will have no problem driving the inputs of any good quality aftermarket amp, and you will get better sound from other manufacturers' speakers.
This does not even include the standard Lexus/Nakamichi stuff, which is generally even lesser quality than the Nak aftermarket stuff because of compromises that were made.

Nakamichi's strength as a company has always been in the electronics (amplifiers and cassette recorders (anyone remember the Dragon?), especially). Never speakers.

Don't get the changer. I had to go through 3 mb75 because they were breaking down. The changer mechanism is not that good and locks up sometimes. I have mine for sale now since I went with the Pioneer P9. But if I were you I'd get a single slot and separate changer.

So then their headunits aren't too good either, eh Retro? I hadn't heard about any reliability problems. That just sends the message to not get ANY Nakamichi car stuff - there's better performing stuff out there for the money.

Nah, it's just MB75 unit that has all kind of problems. Their other products are fine. I have heard about reliability issues of MB75 from other people a lot also.
