If you tap into a door speaker at all, you want to tap into the wires leading to it between the end of your audio system and the door speaker so that the door speaker is unaffected by the audio system.

There is nothing you can do about problems on the other end of the call except to tell the other person you can't hear them. Using a door speaker can give you worse results than a phone kit's external speaker; most phone kit makers seem to recommend using an external speaker with their kits.

Did you try to adjust the call volume per the instructions?

I see. I was hoping to wire it in such way that it would use the cars amplifier to power the voice through the rear door speaker, otherwise it doesn't make sense to tap into it, the bluetooth module only outputs measly 5 watts.

I've purchased a radioshack amplified communications speaker that is 8 watts. Going to try it out, it should provide a nice volume boost.
