Default Weak bass

Hey everyone I recently had a Flyaudio unit and a JL 12w3v2 installed in a custom enclsoure being pushed by a JL 500/1 amp. This was installed in my IS250 and the bass is not loud at all. When I open up the trunk the sub doesn't even look like its moving. The bass is so low. I had a JL 12w1 in my last car that hit way harder. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Maybe the amp is not tuned correctly or the box specs are off? I was thinking about replacing the box with one I saw on eBay that fits behind the seats. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

probably because the amp might not be tuned!! do you know how the system was installed?? they might of possibility tapped the wrong wire into the line in put converter.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not really sure how it is wired because I had a custom stereo shop install it. It sounds awful. I have the Flyaudio unit and the bass is not turning on until I have the volume at 55 out of 63 and its still not even loud. I am going to pull the box out this weekend and taking a look at it. To me it just seems like I could get alot more out of this sub and amp. Thanks again for your help.

you should have a bit of bass. I havea JL bass **** installed for more. Try adjusting the gain on the amp.

Sffd103 since our setups both use the JL bass **** and are running the Flyaudio unit, do you know if you used a line out converter? I was reading that a line out converter may help the lower frequency get to the amp but I have no idea about line out converters. Thanks!

Line out converter from the back sub fixed the problem. Removed the sub and tuned the amp. All good now. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated!
