Subwoofer enclosure
I am thinking of changing the enclosure I have for my w6v2 12 " and going with this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/220896413231...ht_2377wt_1139
Any thoughts on it if its worth buying or not?
Also can it be a good enclosure for a type r 12"

Nope. Don't buy it. They state 1.65 cu. ft of airspace but they fail to mention that 1.65 is total enclosure volume not usable airspace. The port volume cannot be used as usable airspace for the sub. Additionally, some very quick calcs I did show that an enclosure with 2.5 to 3.5 cu ft of usable airspace will yield results you will like.

Do this. If you know anyone with a table saw, see if they will help you, so long as you can measure well and cut straight lines (not hard with a table saw) you can make a very good enclosure very easily.
The eBay box also seems to be tuned a little high for street beating.

agreed. There are a few companies that make Alpine specific boxes but I prefer building my own. unless it's a pre-loaded sub. To make a decent box you spend about $32 on 3/4" MDF, $15 on carpet and stuffing. $15 on screws, glue, and silicone.

i went MDF, didnt want to get to crazy on the fiberglass. did that to my last car it was race/show and i wanted it to be light. i went with a sealed box this time so it wouldnt be too big. its 1.0 cubic in vs 2.0 cubic in for ported. it took a little more time to tune it but i think i got it right now. i'll see if i can post pics up. my last brought box was a kicker with the subs, but it was huge and heavy
Although your pic appears to be closer to 1 cu ft per sub which is closer to acceptable.

the people who did it know what there doing so i just let them do there thing. it was much harder to tune though because the dimensions are as tight as possible in the upper scale of the bass, but when the bottom hits, it hits hard and solid. i wouldnt mind a little deeper, but the car is really for the misses to drive the kids around so thats good enough. when i want to slam hard i just jump in my truck, lol.
