its my whole stereo that shut off. but comes back on right aways when the song does not hit hard. Mainly it cuts in and out during the loud bass part. I have 8 gauge wire that should be strong enough. Dont think i need a capacitor or a new battery. Maybe a grounding kit?

yes, the amp is connected to the positive terminal of my battery. i relocated my ground, it was grounded with along with my navi system, still the same outcome. Looks like a need a cap. I will give that a shot and and keep you guys posted. thanks!

I'm trying to do the same thing with my ML sound system. If you can tell me what to buy I already have the woofer just looking for an amp and what to buy to connect to wires used for the original woofer.

purchased a LOC or High Low Converter. Use that to connect into your exisiting sub wires and that will convert the signal to RCA, where it will plug into your amp. Then from your amp, runs those wires to the sub. Of course you will need a power supply from the batter to the amp, a ground, and a remote wire connect also to the amp.
