![Question](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have the pioneer Nav/P7300DVD/TV combination with rear TVs. Anyone here have a similar systems? I can only see DVD on the rear headrests. I also get confused on switching video sources using the V.SEL on the P7300 headunit. Is it possible to have the Video Sources switch using the V.SEL button on the P7300 head unit? Basically I want to be able to run thru the sources like NAVI > TV > TUNER > DVD, and if it is possible to wire the rear monitors to reflect that I am loop thru the sources.
Thanks

Thanks

You should get DVD video on the P7300DVD if your parking brake is set or maybe your PB wire isn't even connected? Simply connect this wire to GND to see if you get DVD video.
As for source selection... It depends how your rear monitors are hooked up. Are they plugged into the AVM-P8000 unit or to the output of your P7300 or to the rear output of your TV tuner (are you using GEX-P7000TV)?

I am getting DVD in the rear (but thats all I can get), and I think the rears are hooked up to the 8000R using the REAR output. 1) Is there a way to loop thru all of my sources without relying on the remote control (basically is there a way to use the V.SEL button on the P7300 unit. and 2) Can you view more than just DVD in the rear using the P7300dvd unit. I am confused on all of the VTR1, VTR2, TV, etc; options for the 8000R.
Thanks

The VTR1, VTR2, TV labels are all coming from the GEX-P7000TV. I bet your DVD output is plugged into the GEX and not the 8000R. If it's easy enough bypass the GEX-P7000TV by unplugging the 20 pin connectors and IP bus cables. Then get used to using the 8000R with V.Sel from the 8000R remote control. Understand how these two units operate together, then bring the GEX back into the picture.

It should be hooked up like page 1 of the installation instructions show. Here is the link to .pdf if you don't have the install instruction.

The only modification you could make to this is using a RCA Y-adapter on the yellow video out plug of the 7300 and then plugging this into the GEX's VTR1 or VTR2 too. I'd only do this if your rear seat monitors are plugged into the GEX's rear video output.
Also the remote should have a "source" button on it. The GEX remote has only the V.SEL button. You will never be able to change the source from VTR to TV without using the V.Sel on GEX remote.

I looked, and it seems that they did not hook up the rears to the TV Tuner, and that the TV Tuner is hooked only to the 8000R Brain. Looking at the diagram, it looks like only DVD will be shown in the rear. Could it be that they connected rears to the P7300DVD directly? If so, then connecting the P7300DVD to the 8000R, and THEN connecting the rears to the rear output on the Monitors, should allow me to loop thru all of my sources, AND show on the rears?
Thanks for your help

You could wire it up so that your rear monitors get all sources. Plug a RCA audio/video patch cable (Red, White and Yellow plugs) between the 8000R rear AV out and GEX VTR1 (or VTR2) input. Then plug your rear monitor(s) into the GEX's rear video output. The rear screen choices will be:
VTR1 = Whatever is on 7300DVD display will also be on rear displays (including DVD and AV IN of the 8000R, but not navigation).
VTR2 = Whatever is plugged into GEX's VTR2 input (VCR etc.)
TV = TV Tuner
Tip: Remember the GEX's VTR1 and VTR2 plugs have to be Enabled by the setup screen in the GEX's menu. Just like the AV IN plug for the AVM-P8000 in it's setup screen.
