Default Vanity light redone

I have been wanting to redo the vanity light with an LED and I have been posting it in the wrong section. I found a socket for it but I don't know how to wire it because it has 2 black wires. Any help guys?
Thanks

You'll need a voltmeter to figure out which is positive and which is negative. They're both black more than likely because its the same wire, one end is just going straight to ground.

Actually, if you've got your LED wired up with its resistor, then just put it in. If its backwards, it won't work...no problems. If its correct, you'll get light.

Just FYI, the flat side of the LED is the negative side.
