Default Vais SL2i problem

I have an RX400h, 57 plate. When I bought it 4 years ago, I had a specialist install a Vaistech SL2i unit to play my ipod and control it through the touchscreen. The unit has mostly worked very well but I now have a problem: When I try to access Podcasts through the car touchscreen, the screen shows the folders correctly but the files appear blank and nothing plays: When I try other menu options such as Albums, again the folders display corectly, sometimes the files are shown and play, mostly not.

It is not the ipod which is broken - I have tried my wife's ipod in the car and get the same result.

I should be grateful for any suggestions please

Many thanks

I just bought a 2008 RX400h and was wondering how to get ipod connectivity. Sorry I cannot help with your problem, but do you recommend VAIS?

Most likely you will need to upgrade SL2i firmware, we have gone through a number of updates in the last 4 years. You can send your unit in or you can purchase an update adapter and do it yourself. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Thank you - there seems to be some doubt about that, however, following direct email correspondence with Eugene at Vaistech and the UK original fitter
