Default Shallow mount vs free air on sc300

I thought about going shallow mount but it doesn't look like a good fitment under the dek lid. I thought about building a box to go where stock changer is since it only needs .45 cu. anyone done this before? Will it sound ok inthatspot?

Thanks - Sid

shallow mount will give your a different result from free air. I thought about shallow mount but after i got a IDQ subwoofer from image dynamic, it sounds great for me.
