I have about two month old 2003 GS300
When I bought the car, I thought I don't want to spend money for NAV since I don't use it...I know everywhere..so...
Then I saw some people put DVDs on that system...which is really cool....
SO does anybody know...?
Can I put that OEM screen with perpect fit...and not putting NAV
and add DVD on their...basically..I want to put a DVD but I don't want to put After market screen which looks little cheep...I want to have OEM look but plays DVD....
Please help me out....or somebody want to sell theirs?

you can get aftermarket screen (some are touch screen as wells ) and fit it exactly like the stock nav monitor. And then you buy a DVD player and a DVD changer and there you go. Go to a reputable customized car stereo shop and they know how to do it.
If you want the look without the navigation, then you simply dont buy the aftermarket navigation head unit..

The navigation screen (multi-display) works in conjunction with the DVD based navigation computer (ECU) located most likely in the trunk. The navigation computer passes RGB signals to the multi-display, but without the navigation ECU the screen might not even power up. Then there is a two wire control protocol that is communicated between the ECU and multi-display that would be impossible to reproduce without the navigation ECU.
The cost of the OEM navigation multi-display is sure to be as expensive (or more) than a good after market LCD panel. There are several options for putting screens in your dash, including stand alone monitor, like Pioneer's AVD-W6010 that would mount like a cell phone holder or Pioneer's AVD-6000 and headrest mounting kit or AVD-W8000 that could be flush mounted on your dash if you have the space. Then there are also shops that will custom mount LCD's into your visors or even a small 2" into your rearview mirror.
IMHO, I'd find out the opening size then shop around for an after market LCD monitor or trim kit to make it look stock.
