I have 03 GS300 and my car is in service so I have loaner ES300.
I put the CD and wow....way better base than GS...
how come? GS is more expensive car and ES has better sound?
I mean much more bass and mid...high seems same...since both are stock...not ML..
So I want to increase my bass just little more...not bum~bum~
I saw someone here said chaning sub to better one helps..
then which one? and how much usally cost?

The JL Audio 10IB4 is the replacement sub you're looking for. If you do a search on the lexus electronics forum for free air sub, you find many threads discussing this.

Looking to do the same thing...All I want to do is change the sub and use the stock amp...Is it possiable for me to just buy a sub and plug it in to the existing plug...I was told by a service personal that the sub is limited to the bass due to the factory radio and if I changed it I would have the same problem.Any truth to that?? Thats why I bet the ES sounds more bass.

bah, the stock amp wont power anything but the stock sub, you will need to run a whole new power line, amp, and sub for the thing to work. in my gs4 i took the stock speaker wires, converted them to RCA and plugged those into my amp. Then i took the power cables and ran them directly to the battery. You will also require one of these little power thingymabobs, i have NO clue what they do or are, but youre gonna need one as i did or else it will not work. Had a professional friend install mine for free though. He said itd be expensive to take it out to a shop and have them do it.
Also, the free-air setups are NOT that wonderful. I like my sealed and badpass boxes, tight and sharp with good lows.
12'' Pioneer TS-W3041C Pro Series 12-inch 4 ohms
Crunch Power Zone P2125 Amp
Q-Logic QB-112.2 Bandpass Box
This setup is super good and super light on your wallet, total setup cost me less than 300. www.sounddomain.com is your hero.
