How can I play a DVD on my computer and run it through to my TV so that I can watch the DVD in the computer on my TV. I know you can do it because I have seen it done.
Thanks!

You can get an adapter off of ebay for the rgb to rca. Most computers have a rca out or svideo. You could even get a tv tuner for your computer which will solve your prob as well.

I just ordered a new Radeon 7500 for the sole purpose that you are talking about. It comes with a S-Video output as well as a DVI. If you're going to be playing DVDs from your computer, you want a video card with DVI since they sell an adapter that will convert the DVI signal to component inputs. That should give you the best picture quality. The S-Video output is not too bad either. This is a good application for watching DVDs and downloaded movies and avi's. If you want to use your TV as a monitor, that's a different story. The quality of the desktop looks really bad on a TV since it can't get enough resolution like your monitor can. Some high end TVs can handle it, but it's very expensive. Just use the TV to play your DVDs, and video clips and stuff and use the computer monitor for other applications like Word, PowerPoint....I haven't tried to play any games on the TV yet, but I think it should work fine since most games you set the resolution up at a lower resolution then you would your desktop. Hope that helps.
