Default Need some advice regarding USB audio...

I just bought a Pioneer X5500BHS. Got it all installed today, and as I'm about to piece the dash back together I realized holy f*** it doesn't have a USB input...

My entire plan was having a 64 gig flash drive with all the music on it I'd ever need, and never having to plug my phone in or anything like that again, and as I get new songs I could just disconnect the drive, and add them on.... Now that it's all installed and realizing there is no USB drive support what are my options?

I've seen 3.5mm to USB connectors, but from what I've read is they won't work as they don't power on the USB drive to allow it to function.

Any audio guru's want to weigh in here on my situation? Possible options? Possible to rig it some how? I thought I bought a unit that had pretty much everything, and USB options are listed in the manual, but no USB connection options at all. Do I really have to buy a new Head Unit to get that feature? It was one of the major selling points when I bought this system, I don't really use the radio, I even converted all my CD's to 320KBS MP3 for this head unit....
